A small but dedicated group, including 4-year-old George, joined A Rocha Australia for a planting event at Hart Road wetland in partnership with Onkaparinga Council. The planting continues restoration work in a special picnic area enjoyed by kangaroos, Superb Fairy-wrens, and local families.

Over 20 local supporters and community members joined A Rocha Australia for a saltmarsh planting day at Truganina Coastal Park, VIC, organised by Hobsons Bay City Council. The planting supports critically endangered species including the Orange-bellied Parrot and the endemic Altona skipper butterfly.

Stuart and Julia joined over 70 A Rocha leaders from across the world in the Philippines for the triennial Leaders Forum. The week featured worship, fellowship, and collaborative decision-making on key governance areas including safeguarding, fundraising protocols, and brand integrity, demonstrating how A Rocha's global family works together with grace and unity.

A Rocha members attended the Surrender Festival at Belgrave Heights Convention Centre, exploring the theme "Upside Down Revolution" through talks, workshops, and worship focused on creation care and justice. Highlights included Tony Rinaudo's workshop on Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration, Michael Frost on transformation from within, and Jonathan Cornford on biblical economics.

A Rocha Australia's Annual Report 2024 highlights significant growth in creation care impact, with conservation work protecting 16 threatened species and restoring 120 hectares across four states. The year featured the annual gathering "Hope and Wonder on the Mountain" at Mt Tamborine and the establishment of A Rocha Australia Environmental Projects Ltd to enable expanded conservation work.

A Rocha Australia completed the fourth year of systematic bird surveys at Duggan Park, Toowoomba, recording 58 species including 10 new to the site. The project, conducted in partnership with Friends of the Escarpment Parks and Toowoomba Regional Council, has now documented 70 bird species and contributed valuable data to the national Birdata database, confirming the park's importance for urban bushland conservation.

In the Wet Tropics bioregion of far north Queensland, I've been propagating native rainforest and coastal tree seedlings at my property in Trinity Beach near Cairns, donating them to revegetation projects like the Thomatis Creek restoration. Working with Terrain NRM and local volunteers, we're stabilising eroding riverbanks and restoring native habitat through community tree-planting efforts.
